A leader in the biomedical revolution, Stanford Medicine has a long tradition of leadership in pioneering research, creative teaching protocols and effective clinical therapies. Stanford Medicine’s close proximity to the resources of Stanford University, its seamless relationship with affiliated adult and children’s hospitals, and ongoing associations with the entrepreneurial endeavors of Silicon Valley, make the institution uniquely positioned to accelerate the pace at which new knowledge is translated into tangible health benefits.
With a focus on creating a patient portal that provides a simplified and user-friendly approach, we interfaced closely with Stanford Medicine to map the overall project timeline, develop product logic, and design the UI/UX including appropriate color schemes, buttons, views and transitions. Our approach was to create an interactive experience for patients, allowing them to feel connected to their provider and take ownership of their healthcare.
Swenson He worked directly with a Stanford Medicine surgeon to design a next-generation mobile app that would accompany non-surgical as well as pre-op, op and post-op surgical treatments for patients diagnosed with or predisposed to lymphedema, a condition that arises as a result of removing lymph nodes during cancer treatment.
We created detailed storyboards for the app with accompanying functional flows, ultimately prototyping an impactful healthcare tool for lymphedema patients. For more information about Stanford Medicine, visit www.med.stanford.edu.
